On April 24, 2017, Shipman & Goodwin attorney Chuck Howard will moderate a presentation at the International Ombudsman Association meeting in Minneapolis entitled “Education Conflict Resolution: Establishing Ombuds Programs in K-12 Schools.” The program will overview how ombuds programs are a valuable resource for conflict resolution in K-12 schools. The session will cover the current environment and types of conflict in K-12 schools, descriptions of existing programs and their benefits, and will provide participants with a toolkit of materials for establishing programs to take to their home school districts.
