The CAS Conference for School Secretaries and Administrative Assistants is designed to support the daily work of school secretaries and administrative assistants and acknowledge their contributions to creating a positive teaching and learning environment. Participants will spend time addressing legal issues related to their daily work including, among others, school security and safety, electronic communication devices, student records and retention, special education, and state and federal laws.

Tom is the author of A Practical Guide to Connecticut School Law (9th Edition, 2018), a comprehensive treatise on Connecticut school law, and two columns, “See You in Court!,” which appears in the CABE Journal, and “Legal Mailbag,” which appears in the CAS Bulletin.
