It’s not too late to register for the 2017 Education Legislation Summary Seminar taking place in Stamford on September 12th and Hartford on September 14th. Reserve your seat today!
In its 2017 Regular Session, the General Assembly made a number of changes in the statutes that affect public education in Connecticut. This workshop is intended to give public and charter school personnel an overview of some of the changes that were made in the Regular Session. If the General Assembly passes a State budget prior to the session, we will also address any further changes made through the budget implementer bill.
Workshop topics will include new guidance and/or changes regarding the following:
- Alternative educational opportunities for expelled students
- Student data privacy
- Training requirements for physical restraint and seclusion
- Employment history checks
- Student records
- Professional development requirements
