This session will discuss several key questions about truancy including:

  • What are the compulsory school attendance laws and how they are applied in Pennsylvania and New Jersey?
  • What are the legal, educational, economic, and social impacts of truancy?
  • What are the most effective strategies for curbing truancy?

This one-day program provides a variety of session offerings about special education law for education leaders, attorneys, mental health agencies, caseworkers, social workers, and hearing officers.
